It never fails. Year after year, poolies get burned by players that they thought were shoe-ins for big returns but who turns out more bust than boom. We’ve identified 10 guys that have that potential this season, where if they perform to where they likely will go in drafts, they meet expectations, but where it is more likely they won’t, and as a result, will have poolies everywhere wishing they had just chosen someone else. Find more than one of these guys on your team, and odds are you won’t be bringing home the hardware in early April. Marian Gaborik (MIN) – there is no doubting that Gaborik is one the league’s premiere goal-scoring talents. The problem for both poolies and the Wild is that he has managed to stay healthy for the past three seasons. He’s got 40 goal, 90 point potential IF he plays a full season. Odds are he won’t and guessing how much time he misses could cost you your pool.
